So its been threee weeks since Ive submitted online applications and I havent recieved any phone calls yet. HOw long does it usually take a nurse manager to review all the applications and call them for interview? Should I keep waiting or is there any other better way?

I have gotten calls for interviews anywhere from 2 weeks to two or more months from my application submissions!

I applied at a hospital not long ago.
I emailed the nurse recruiter NM and he'd sorta 'forgotten' re my application (he didn't use those words though). I got an interview not long after.
I always take the bull by the horns. Contact them today, email first (so u have a record), then phone them & ask if they have a little time to have a chat.
Be proactive re jobs - I always say this via email/on phone etc anyway. It shows you're interested.
Otherwise ur application will get lost in a mountain of paperwork.

I get probably 10 applications for licenses positions and 15 for CNAs. About half of these people call me and demand to know what's up with their application....and yes, I mean demand. Honestly, if I want you to come in for an interview,I will call you.

My average hear-back time is usually 1-2 weeks. I figure if I've heard nothing after that point, then I'm probably not in the running and move on...but occasionally I'm pleasantly surprised with a call/e-mail well after the fact :)

Call HR and verify they even received your application. Since it's online, you don't have any way to know. That happened to me with my job. I heard nothing for ages, finally called. Within a week, I had an interview.

I just went on an interview (for an aide position) for an application I submitted in August! The hospital has a system online where you can check the status of your applications. I applied to multiple positions, and some are marked "Sorry not selected" and some are marked "under review"... I'm guessing its the kind of thing where if they like your app, they keep it on file until another position opens up. In my situation this was fine, since I was only looking for a per diem job for experience while I'm in school. But, if you are really serious about the job, I recommend calling to inquire!!

I had one that took 2 months, but most are 3-4 weeks.
