I am very new to the boards and have been reading around a lot.......I keep seeing loan repayment? Does this really mean once I graduate I could get a job with a hospital that will pay my loans back for me? If so, what type of numbers am I looking at? thanks:)

Take a look at the hospital websites. They often say. It can be anywhere from $1500 to $4000 per year. Some hospitals have caps, others do not.

Don't have a clue...since I'm at the CC, I'm not real concerned unless there's a hospital that wants to pay for this education plus my former bachelor's that I still owe money on!!

Most will pay one or the other--loan forgiveness payments or tuition reimbursement, but most will not do both.
If you went to the CC and want a BSN, the tuition reimbursement at most places will pay for your BSN. Many are online now.
Good news: One of the best for tuition reimbursement is SLU Hospital. You get a SLU degree for 1/3 of the actual cost. No other hospital reimburses that well. So if a BSN or higher is on your radar, check them out.
Bad news: no free parking for employees at SLU Hospital (or students either). Runs about $300+ per year, depending on when you work.
Another cost: You will also pay a 1% city earnings tax. (also at BJC main, Childrens, Cardinal Glennon) for the pleasure of working in St. Louis City.

Thanks for the information!!
Yeah, no thanks....I don't know where I'll end up, but I did that "city" employment for 6 years with a company downtown....one of the things health care allows is PLENTY of employment options...and the short drive is what I'm all about these days!!
But I'll keep the SLU info in mind...that could potentially offset the other expenses!!

I believe that all the SSM facilities offer the same tuition reimbursement. I can't remember what it is though - something like $2.00 for every hour worked with no cap. I know at Glennon, parking is free.
