LIU Fall 2013 Applicants?

LIU is on my short list for schools I'm considering but I cannot find any information on their website about when applications are due. Does anyone know? I've called the school three times and been put into VM each time with no call backs, same for emailing their general info email. Given their reputation here, that's not a good sign but what can you do?

Anyone else applying there?

ebin,

I thought about applying to LIU as well, but I found them to be cryptic and unhelpful when I called the nursing department. I took their unresponsiveness as a bad sign and decided not to apply. Reading through this site, I found that LIU has received mixed reviews. It really it is hard to get an clear view of their ABSN program.

Agreed! I'm a little worried about how badly they seem to handle getting info to incoming students but I'm wary of taking them off my list of possible schools since they're so close to my house. Would love to hear from some current students--class of 2014, where you at? How's it going?

I don't think there is a deadline since they admit on a rolling basis.

I am applying to LIU. I already have a previous BA but I decided not to apply to the ABSN program but rather the regular BSN program. I am applying to other ABSN programs but for LIU I decided the longer route for certain reasons.

Admissions is rolling however just to answer your questions.

Thanks! I decided not to apply based on what I've read here (experiences seem to be mixed skewing towards negative) and the less than welcoming response of the admissions office. If I don't get in anywhere maybe I'll rethink it. Good luck to those who apply, hope you get in!

Hey everyone, I just got accepted to LIU's FNP program, anyone hear any positives/negatives regarding this program?
