LINYnurse

Hello Eveyone. I am a new nurse or a gpn. I just took my nclex-pn yesterday 6/1/06. I'm TOTALLY freaking out......I have read lots of threads and it seems like everyone had felt the same way. Here's the deal if anyone can help....My test shut off at 86?????? Why not 85? Does this mean I failed? The exam was HARD. Confused on abt. 50% of questions. I can't sleep much or eat!!! Any advise would be GR8.

NCLEX is a dreadful test. The number of questions is just the number of questions. It's no indication of whether you passed or failed.

Welcome to allnurses.com! I moved your post to the NCLEX Forum for more results.

There are many Grads who have the "bare minimum" or "near" bare minimum in test questions.

Good luck!

Suebird :)

85 is usually a good sign, it was for me when I took the nclex pn about 6 years ago. I just took the nclex rn and it didnt cut off till like #137, now I am stressed!!! Good luck, and God Bless!!!:)

first off.....congratulations on graduating! WTG!!

second off.....breathe and relax.

Third off....as others have said it doesn't matter how many question you have. We have all been there, I walked out my test feeling like the dumbest person on the face of the earth, and like a week later found out I passed. And on top of that I hadn't really studied because I had been out of state for a week for my brother's funeral just 2 weeks before the test. And as you can imagine it's hard to study when you are so upset. So relax and take it day by day. Good luck! :nurse:
