Life

Hey everyone,

What is your definition of life or how do you know when you have lived a fulfilled life in general? I have to do this for school so any comments would be appreciated! Thank you.

You're asking a question that is in the purview of theologians and philosophers. My suggestion is that you research how different ages and cultures have answered the question.

Question #1 from the Westminster Shorter Catechism...

Q: What is the chief end of man?

A: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

That would be my answer.

Life is an experience which could be pleasant or unpleasant to a person based on his decisions and actions. In my opinion, a fulfilled life is one which gives a sense of satisfaction to an individual owing to a pleasant childood experience followed by successful vocational and family life and, a gratifying old age.

I think of life is a journey. you travel(thrive) toward your destination(goals) every day.

I don't think you will know whether you lived a fullfilled life until the last part/days of your life.

by then you will be able to look back and evaluate your entire life.

It will be a personal perspective that

If you have achived your goals in your life and satisfied with your status, then you can say you have lived a fullfilled life.

Oh... if you are doing this for a nursing class, be sure to check out what Abraham Maslow classified as "self-actualization."

Being able to find a life long partner while working 11-7 would be one way of living a fulfilling life. :-)
