I have a question that I just can't seem to find out the answer to. I have a couple of misdemeanors on my background. One of them is a hot check charge that was paid off(never spent any time in jail or on probation)from 3 years ago, last year while living in oklahoma i got a necklace from one of those rent-to-own places and ended up losing it when i moved. They filed charges on me and it's showing up as a misdemeanor embezzlement of rented property charge. I live in texas, and I called the bne here and they sent me the petition for a declaratory order to complete and send back. My question is....are these offenses automatic disqualifications? I can't find anything anywhere that is specific enough to tell me, and i really don't want to pay the $189 fee for them to tell me I'm not eligible to become a nurse for this stupid mistakes i made. Somebody please help!!!
