Leaving temporary position

Hi 

I am currently in a temporary position in Alberta, which ends Mar 2022 and I do not like the position. I want to leave earlier and go back to my permanent position which is being held for me while I finish the temp job. Do I give a 2 week or 28 day notice? or is it mandatory for me to complete the temp position?
