LAVC Spring 2011

I called LAVC today and they said that letters will be sent out by the end of the month via email. This waiting time is a killer!

Nothing yet from LAVC for Spring 11. I was told that we should receive letters after turkey day weekend. I'll post for updates.

I got a call today from LAVC telling me that I've been accepted! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you dont mind me asking how were your stats? I plan on applying there next year after I finish my pre reqs this spring.

You received a phone call??????? When I called them a week before Thanks giving, they said they were MAILING letters. OMG. this is not good. Could you please tell me your HONEST cut score on the TEAS??? Thanks

As far as I know they've been calling everyone. If you make the minimum requirements for GPA and TEAS scores, you're just put into a lottery. It's just a matter of getting your name drawn. I didn't get my name drawn for GCC twice now, but got my name drawn at LAVC the first time, so really it's just luck.

Hi- I am so confused! After reading that you received a phone call from LAVC nursing department, notifying you that you were accepted into the 2011 nursing program, I decided to call the department. I told them that I had not received ANY communication from them. The woman told me they are running very late and will send EMAIL notifications out next week; she said they were late because the campus admissions office had been relocated to the new building...

OMG- This is INSANE waiting game! I only scored a 75% on TEAS however, I just graduated from LAVC this past June, magna cum laude. Hopefully, my GPA will out weigh my TEAS score.....

Just wondering if you had heard anything from LAVC... Seems some some people apparently received a phone call from the department. I called today (Dec 06) and was told that they are way behind and they will notify via EMAIL , hopefully by next week....what the heck is going on??????????

I received a call yesterday & an email this morning stating I had been accepted into Spring 2011 class. The deadline to accept the spot was 12/8. I replied to the email letting them know I had already taken a spot elswhere. I think they are really behind in sending out the notices.

Wow! So if they must be making one call at a time- if they are giving you until Dec 8 to make your decision, (thats tomorrow) I wonder where that leaves me????? Where will you be going for RN school? Congrats!!! Can I ask you what your TEAS score was? Thanks!! Good luck to you

I agree with you. I called LAVC before Thanksgiving, and they told me to expect an email the week after Thanksgiving. So far I haven't heard from them. I got into Glendale Community College so I decided to take their offer. What program are you going to?
