labor

i know someone who has been in labor for 6 days now they have done everything to calm her contractions bc she is only 32 weeks but they havent stopped. her water has broken and they dont plan on taking the baby until 35 weeks. will the amniotic fluid replace itself? will waiting 3 weeks effect the baby?

While we can't give medical advice, if there is no indication of infection and the baby is healthy (based on NSTs and/or BPP results), then it is usually better for baby to cook for a while longer. And yes, if everything else is normal, amniotic fluid will continue to be produced. Good luck to your friend!

These are questions your friend should be asking of her midwife or OB to get the answers relevant to her specific situation.

As per the Terms of Service we cannot give medical advice. I would be best for your friend to ask her caregivers.
