Which school did you attend, is it a good school, and any other information.

why not a public college? just wondering. i've never experienced any education with either school, so i cannot say which is better.
for financial reasons, i would keep looking at public colleges, but that's just me.
good luck!

I go to Keiser university in wpb. It's a good school. Expensive and stressful! But you finish in 16 months! You must not have a life if you want to survive though. I remember my first semester was Monday thru Friday. So you must prepare for that kind of schedule. Plus you're taking 2 nursing classes at the same time along with clinicals and lab. All in all it's a good school. It worked for me. Good luck school hunting!

i go to keiser university lakeland campus. do you mean keiser university or keiser career college? there is a huge difference. not sure about medvance, but keiser university is regionally accredited http://www.sacscoc.org/ , nlnac accredited http://www.nlnac.org/forms/directory_search.htm and is also approved by the florida board of nursing http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/nur_edu_info.html . i know that medvance offers the lpn program, but keiser university offers the rn program. i'm happy with my decision because i know i can transfer my credits and i'm at a school that is fully approved by all the required accrediting bodies. you may see some things on here about keiser university that are not true or may be said about keiser career college because people just say keiser. i did my own research instead of just relying on what others may have heard and i'm glad i did. i know the $$$ is on the high end, but i made a fully informed decision. i toured a different private school that was only approved by the fl board of nursing and not regionally accredited or nlnac accredited. i didn't want to go to a school that didn't have all the things i wanted. i hope you make a fully informed decison and good luck to you.
Keiser university and Keiser career college is owned by the same people. But Keiser University has the RN program, I don't believe Keiser career college has an RN program. I think they have the LPN program at Keiser career college. I do agree that you should do your research and pick what best for YOU.

I dont know about the other school, but I just graduated from Keisery University in Melbourne Florida with my ASN degree. The reason why I attented Keiser was 1) the NCLEX pass rate is around 97% as compared to the local community college which is in the 70-80% range; 2) we are NLN accredited which is VERY important for a nursing program to have; 3) in 16 months you can have your ASN degree given that you have your pre-reqs done, if not it is a little longer, but no longer than 2 years. At the local community college, you will spend almost 4 years getting your ASN degree.....2 years for your pre-reqs (there are many at the community college) and almost 2 years to complete the core nursing coorifices. I wanted to get done and get done fast to start working....I paid more, but I was done fast and I feel I have recieved a great education.

I go to Keiser in Orlando,
Am on the 1st RN cohort, and we are on our last semester here!
I would recomend it to ANYONE...
people complain all the time... but if you do what you are expected to.... you won't have a problem!!!
Pluss we have great clinical instructors GREAT!!!
and a couple of ANGELS teaching our class.!!!
and they make it hard for us, they are strict!!! we have to have good grades, have 2 chances on dosage calculations, and have to score level 2 on ATI testing... But this is all to our benefit!
