Just trying to keep myself accountable... Working on my first paper today...

Goal is to finish by tomorrow night. Ahh!

You'd better get off allnurses and get your nose to the grindstone.

So glad I got through school before the Internet.

. Well, I must be doing something right because I actually have my BSN. Paper done, and submitted by the way! Whoot

I'm sorry, but that's incredibly rude. Emergent was offering support, your reply was quite nasty.

You see her comment as supportive, I found it rude. That's the problem with internet. We all know that...

And I can see it either way.

  1. Professor Mehrabian combined the statistical results of the two studies and came up with the now famous—and famously misused—rule that communication is only 7 percent verbal and 93 percent non-verbal. The non-verbal component was made up of body language (55 percent) and tone of voice (38 percent)."

We don't have either body language or tone of voice, so intent is hard to judge. Had Emergent said her words with a smile it would come across as supportive, which is what I suspect was intended.

It's difficult to write on a forum and to be playfully cynical. Though I don't like emoticons, and ban animated ones from my computer, had a smiley been included the comment would likely have been perceived as playful.
