I am one nurse for 3 buildings. ONE NURSE FOR THREE BUILDINGS. I have been trying to do hearing/vision screenings on 4 High school kids, all week. Something has happened each and every time and I haven't been able to complete the screenings. 2 of those 4 students have IEP/ETR meetings next week and those screenings have to be completed. Decided I would try bright and early this morning, thinking I might be able to catch them before the hustle of the day picked up. As I was leaving one school I told the secretary where I was headed, to which she replied, "Yep, and there will be kids in here within 10 minutes of you leaving." I'm sorry, did I mention I service 3 buildings? It's not like I'm heading out to have coffee and donuts with the high school office staff, I HAVE WORK TO DO. The kicker, I was only able to screen one of those students this morning, the other 3 were testing. I may not make it through this Friday
