Just for fun Style Poll

If you don't have to wear white shoes, don't. They're difficult to keep clean and you cannot really wear them anywhere else. (Yes, I wear my duty shoes for running errands, going to the movies, etc. They're the most comfortable shoes I have.)

As far as stethoscopes: Raspberry, orange, peach or pearl pink. They'll be less likely to be confused with someone else's scope and less likely to walk away with an MD. I don't understand it, but physicians, especially interns and residents, are notorious for walking away with stethoscopes. Make sure you have your name engraved on it so you can prove it's yours if there is ever a controversy. (Unless you're really lucky, there will be one day.)

Not everone's feet are the same. You need to try on a variety of brands until you find a brand that fits your feet. Personally I like Nikes but not everyone does.

I loved Danskos and used to live near an outlet. They are comfortable and last forever. I had 15 pairs at one time -- but I live on a boat now, and they'd be dangerous. I got rid of all of them! Now I wear Keen sandals mostly -- but hiking boots and UGGs in the winter and New Balance trail running shoes (better colors/more support and non marking soles) for work.

I like black for the shoes, and I would go with raspberry.
