Judgemental Comment?

I was criticized by another nurse whom I have the utmost respect about mentioning to her my concern about a I/M who was refusing prenatal vitamins.

My comments was that this was akin to abuse and should be reported.

Now thinking about this I see her point in that I should not be judgemental, but I thought I would ask for your feedback.

Regardless I never said anything about this, beyond my conversation with her.

Just document that she refuses to take her meds and move on. Maybe the RN was just having a bad day.

If I worried over every pt that refused meds I would go crazy.

PNV often makes pregnant women nauseated, if they switch to one with less iron it will be easier on their stomach, but look for the same dose of folic acid. When I worked OB women sometimes preferred Flintstones chewable, and they'd take it with food.
