JTCC Fall 2021

Hi there!  I recently applied to John Tyler Community College for the Fall 2021 semester's nursing program.  I'm curious if anyone can give me any tips or advice.

I  have completed all of the prerequisite courses for the program, and am currently taking Microbiology and Eng112.  Waiting two months to hear whether or not I got in is going to take a LOT of patience!

I only applied to this program for the traditional track. Hopefully I get in this time around.

Good luck! ?

Has anyone heard anything about a possible date we may hear something?

@nugg3t88 I had her for BIO YEARS ago and loved her too! For BIO142 I have Professor Chu and  he’s great. Lots of practical applications.

@Smarlatticus

My advisor told me in January that the Admissions committee meets in early to mid April to review applicants and that we should hear by the end of April. I wish I had more info than that.

The waiting game has officially begun. ?

Hey Everyone,

I applied on March 1st and was told by the advisor that we should hear back by May. I have a low GPA but I did get an 82% on the TEAS. Good luck everyone ?

Did anyone else get an email today?!

@Smarlatticus

I got an email today. Unfortunately I didn’t get accepted.

I’m so sorry ? I was looking at your previous post and it looks like I only scored an 82% so I guess I probably didn’t get in either since they mainly look at the TEAS score.

@cm23 I was offered traditional track!
@groxy07 I’m sorry ? did they say why?

Congrats! If you don’t mind me asking, what was your TEAS score?

@Smarlatticus @cm23

No they didn’t really specify in the email. It was a pretty generic letter. My TEAS wasn’t that low and I know they rate by that score. So I’m honestly at a loss and waiting to hear back about it.

My score was a 78.

No it wasn’t, I looked at your previous post to see what you scored. Did you complete all pre-reqs before applying? What about co-reqs? I think I read something from an older thread about them looking at that. But of course I don’t think anyone really knows exactly what they look for.
