Has anyone had a difficult time finding a job after being unsuccessful on NCLEX and passing after the third time?

How would they know that if you didn't tell them? All they need to know is that you are a nurse now.

it doesnt really matter on how many times you took nclex before making it. but what i do know is.....every new graduates are having a darn time landing on a stable job.. count me in!

Human resource departments don't have access to how many times you took the exam. It is just that piece of paper from your state that says that you are indeed a nurse that they are interested in. Don't volunteer that type of info during an interview either.

Apparently several of the nurses I work with took the NCLEX more than once. So I don't think it matters much. BTW, the vast majority of those nurses who did take it more than once really shocked me, as they are mostly all wonderfully competent nurses.

One of our newer RNs just passed her boards after taking them for the third time...and she graduated nursing school in 1999. We all were pulling for her, as she was an awesome tech and we all felt like she'd make a great nurse. We would help her study, answer her questions, explain rationales for what we were doing, etc. whenever we had the time. So far she's not disappointed us in our expectations.
