Hey, has anyone ever been to a job fair????? There is a Health care job fair on Tuesday that I plan to go to...I have never been to one..and I am looking for a job....so I just wondered if anyone had any tips????? Thanks!

angelwingsamy 115 Posts Mar 11, 2008 my school hosts one every year and we are told to show up with lots of resumes in case we talk to someone who likes us. i think its a great time to see whats out there for you and to ask alot of questions.

Mar 11, 2008 Take a bunch of resumes, ask a lot of questions, dress professionally (like a pp said) and also wear a big smile. I enjoy going to them, as a matter of fact, I am off to one tomorrow. smak60 147 Posts Mar 11, 2008 well,,,,,I went to the job fair......it was a joke for me......no one hires lpns.....I was shot down....I have never felt so depressed.. I felt like the Job fair was more for RNs....I know I could go to a LTC...but I dont want to....I dont agree with the fact that the residents have to take all those pills,,,,crushed ...when they are not suppose to be crushed.....its gross.....its just not right.....and it saddens me....I have dropped off my resumes at doctors offices.....etc. I really dont know why LPN programs exist...?????? I had no clue that I would run into this.....the LPN programs are veered toward working in LTC........or offices.....which are too few and far between....
