I got this from someone in california, its a national certification but I'm trying to also find out what the scope of practice here in Louisiana for an LPN IV infusion nurse.

The Infusion Nurse Society link, I think, is only for IV certification for the RN. Check out this thread about certifications for the LPN:

Here is a link to the LPN SOP from the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. From this site regarding IV therapy:
Initiate and maintain IV therapy and administer IV medications by IVPB and/or IVP (including hyperalimentation, blood and blood products)

check with the hospitals in the area they frenquently have classes for there own lpns and may accept an outside student for a fee
check esp the chairity hospitallls in your area
also check your state run trade school for their continuing education programs
