And I feel like I have already forgotten a ton of stuff! My school let out in May and we go back in 3 weeks. The break has been nice, but I am feeling so unprepared to return next month. Anybody else lose a bunch of knowledge over break?

That's why my program gives us multiple, sometimes tedious assignments over every break. Once you get past the fact that they want you to write some papers and do a crap load of practice nclex questions I realize that I should be thankful. I never feel overwhelmed after returning from an extended break. And it only increases my chances of passing nursing school and nclex .
We had class dirk g the summer but got out last week and go back Aug 20th. We are also required to complete 5 hours in our simulation lab during the "Break". Our school is still open even though we are out of class. Our instructors stressed to us the importance of not doing any excessive stressing over the assignments, as we should take this time to recuperate from our first year of nursing school.

I am with you on feeling like I've forgotten things!! We got done May 5th and don't go back until August 20th. I have been trying to study NCLEX prep books and I'm getting ready to read the ATI books that go with my classes for the fall. I feel like even though I can't get a head start on the syllabus, I can at least be ahead of the game when it comes to my ATI work. I have a feeling I will also sit and watch the skills videos I have the week before class just to make sure I have everything back in the forefront of my mind. Good luck!

I feel the same way! I've had all summer off and I have been doing nclex questions and reading assignments from my upcoming teachers.. I've also been making sure I stay on top of my dosage calc because we have to pass with a 100% before we can begin a new level!
