hey guys i had a exam today...i had 75 questions and computer shut down..someone told me if last questions is true i past the test, if last questions isn't true i couldn't past the test...do u think like this...how i can wait for the answer i don't know..a lot of drug qustions came to me will see......

Hi Beza2006!!!!! I would not completely go off of that information because no one really knows how it works. I received 75 questions as well and thankfully passed the test. It is a computer adaptive test so I am not sure if it makes a difference how you answer the last question. I received alot of drug questions too so maybe that is a good sign. Good luck to you and try not to think about it too much. We all try to analyze the test to figure it out but try not to as I am sure it will probably make you go nuts.

What books did you guys your to prepare for NCLEX?

Thank you,

Nic

i had 74 questions and i had a break..then i came i sit after 2 questions computer shut down i couldn't beleve...i hope i can past like u..i have a mosby's,lippinctt's & donna gauwitz's book..o my it is realy diffucult to wait...thanks again guys....

The 75 question rule is not accurate.

NCLEX is designed to make a pass/fail determination at 75 questions so when it shuts off at 75 that means that your testing pattern was within the parameters that the system needs to make a determination of pass/fail.

When your test goes beyond 75 questions that means that the program does not have enough data. It will only stop when it has sufficient data to process a pass/fail.

There is no way to know for sure until you get the results.

As nursing educators, we are told to tell our students, at 75 you have either answered all the questions wrong or all the questions right. If you feel certain that you got some of the questions correct chances are you passed.
