Hey all!
I am currently working at a SNF, have been for about 6 months now. This was the first job offered since I graduated in May '16 and I took it! I know for a fact that this current setting is not where I want to stay although I am really grateful for the opportunity given to me as a new nurse. My question is: is it too soon to attempt to leave my current job? I began applying to other places but have not got call backs yet...still wondering if I should wait another 6 months before I actually attempt to leave.

It takes about two years to make the transition from student to competent nurse. It's about 18 months too soon for you to be attempting to leave your current job.
