Is it Possible?

I am currently a Pre-Nursing student looking for different Nursing Schools to apply to. I have A's in all of my non-science classes, but when it comes to A&P i've gotten 4 Cs!!! I am trying to get into some of more competitive nursing schools, so here is the quesiton: If I haven't done too well in A&P, but have a 3.7 GPA and other impressive experience, can I still get in? I have studied in Africa and did a 3 month internship in Kenya. I've volunteered in 3 different hospitals all 3 years of college, and had a 4.0 three semesters in a row. what do you all think? is it possible to get in with C's?

I think it depends on where you apply and what they are asking for. When I applied to the school I'm at now, we had to have a B or better in all our prereqs. On the application we just had to list our grades we got for the prereqs (and experiences and such as well). I have no idea if they looked at my overall GPA for my other classes. I got a couple Cs and even a D for those GE classes :smackingf however, I did manage to get Bs and better for the prereqs and I was accepted. I know there are other schools around that ask for Cs or better in the prereqs so it all depends on the school. Since you say you have lots of experience, that's also a plus. No harm in applying to different places. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Good luck to you!:balloons:

You won't know unless you apply. I think you have a good chance because they look at the overall application. Go for it. What have you got to lose?
