I have 2 classes left to go before I finish this ADN degree and its so hard to stay motivated to keep up the good fight when all I hear is how there aren't any jobs and the few jobs there are are living hells. I already have one useless degree (BS in 3d design...don't laugh >.

Yes, I think its worth it. 2 classes left to go, you are so close. If I were you I would finish what I started so that you dont have any regrets later on. The job market has its ups and downs, eventually there will be jobs available again.

And... our instructors are always telling us to think outside of the box when it comes to finding your first job. Don't turn up your nose at the nursing job that will help you not only get your foot in the door but will help you keep up your skills. I'm scared of the future as well but you will eventually be able to find exactly the job you want.

YES! Only 2 classes to go??? You'd be crazy to quit now!! Force yourself to be motivated, it may be more difficult than it used to be to get a job, but that won't last forever. My husband went to the fire academy to fulfill his dream of becoming a firefighter, it took him 2 years to finally land a job after school was over, but he would never, ever regret his decision just because it took him so long to get a job. He is happier than he has ever been now and that's what matters.

I haven't even started college yet, but i'd like to say a few things:)
It can be hard to stay motivated sometimes, but try to remember what used to get you motivated when you first started out.
Go to Google and read some success stories about Nursing. Think about how you're not only going to be helping yourself, but a lot of people daily.
You guys are a special bunch of people, and I can't wait to be part of the group one day!!
Good luck to you and keep your head up :)

It's worth it. The economy won't suck forever. Also, FIND A TECH JOB! I don't care how little time you have when you're in school but do this!!!! I don't know anybody who was a tech and didn't get a job where they were working when they finished school.
I'm going to really try and get a tech job by this summer before that last semester. Right now I work in a pharmacy which is great for learning to deal with the irate patient and learning my meds but that's about it.
