Interviews on May 18th HELP!!

Hi everyone, I am going on my first two nursing interviews ever on monday may 18th.

I have looked up some questions to ask and questions that are going to be asked for me to answer. I have my suit and shoes. How should I wear my hair? up or down? I want it up just bc that is how I will wear my hair on the floor; idk if it is professional. I also want to bring a notepad to jot questions down that I want to ask the interviewers and any information that I want to keep on hand for my referral.

PLEASE HELP

THANKS!!!

Up for hair. A sleek bun always works. It sounds like you are pretty prepared. Make sure that you research the facility beforehand and have questions prepared to ask them. Good luck!

Moved to allnurses Nursing Interview Help forum -see the FAQ section at top. Wear your hair up, minimize makeup, no facial piercings, except ears etc.

My biggest tip: look at facilities website. What is their mission statement...philosophy of care. Magnet status? Work into your answers info from their mission statement--how you can support that mission or care philosophy. SMILE.

Bring thank you cards with you that you can immediately write out and pop into the mail.

Best wishes with the interview.

thanks for the feedback and quick replies!! I also was wondering I have copies of letter of recomm. immunizations, cpr, license, certificate of peripheral iv insertion etc should I give a set to each manager I meet with. I have an interview monday at 730 with a RN Manager then a peer interview. Then at 2 pm I have another interview with another hospital and that is with two nurse managers should I give both of them a set of everything?

IMO, as long as your hair is neat, whether it's up or down doesn't matter. I've interviewed with my hair both ways and have gotten the jobs. If you do choose to wear it down, make sure that it's not falling in your face, that it's not overstyled, and that you're not frequently brushing it out of the way or playing with it.

The notepad is an excellent idea.

Best of luck!

IMO, I would have at least one copy for everyone you're meeting with, plus a couple of extras. You can ask if they would like to see this information. Also include copies of your resume in with that info set.
