Interview Wait

This is a first in a healthcare job interview. I arrived 10 minutes early for my interview. 5 minutes before it was scheduled to begin, the person takes another person back. I've waited before but never had an interview start at my scheduled time.

How long have you guys waited for an interview? I find it unprofessional for the manager not to give herself an adequate buffer between interviews.

It looks like this will take the cake as in longest wait for an interview. It may also be the first one I choose to walk out before it begins.

It may give you a clue to the managers own time management, or lack of. The last manager I had that did this to me had a great personality but lacked in her ability to respond to floor issues (or any issue for that matter) in a timely manner and was notorious for being late to meetings. That trickled down into the floors issues which was a big reason I didn't stay...

Yeah. It's not worth it in my book. I have another per diem job and while I like to diversify my options, it's not worth waiting somewhere that is 45 minutes late for an interview.

You really have no idea what caused the delay. Managers are pulled in all directions.

Far from a "first". I have waited much longer than 45 minutes. As long as I received an acknowledgement for the delay, I had no problem with it.

You have one year experience...you need them more than they need you.
