Interview skills

What do you feel like are the most important things to say / skills for an interview? I have an interview for RN position next week. I'm nervous!

I would say that the most important thing is a little confidence -- in particular, enough confidence that you don't feel the need to lie or embellish everything. When I am interviewing a candidate, I want to have an honest conversation. When I don't get that, it leads me to doubt that I want to work with this person.

Practice. Interviewing is a skill of some sorts. I get really nervous, so repetition helps me. But I don't have scripted answers - they can come off as reheorificed and fake.

I also like to have several situations in mind that demonstrate my leadership, problem-solving, and people skills.

What kinds of situations have you been asked about?

I assume that this question is directed at me, since I mentioned the situations.

I have been asked to describe a time where I had a conflict with a coworker, how I handled it, and what was the result. Also have been asked a time where I faced a difficult situation and how I handled it.
