Hello,

I received my LPN from Missouri this past Jan. We have moved to Texas throughout this time, and I have not worked yet as a nurse here as I am waiting for all of my paperwork to come through....since here in TX you are a LVN! I am so PARANOID! I have waited fo rmonths and NO word, my question is if anyone knows how long it should really take and maybe what I can do to push it a little faster. I just want to be licensed here so I can work under this states Nurse Practice Act....Thanks so much!

I don't know specifically about TX, but I do know from other nurses in various states they all take their time. You can go to that state's website and they give you an estimate of the time it takes. http://www.bne.state.tx.us/

I hope this helps.

Take care. Peace and love...nothing less! The Lady

When did you actually submit the paperwork to Texas?

Thanks,

I submitted about almost 3 months ago...I call and get put through some order and always get an answering service. At the time that I started this process...I had to send paperwork to my school in Missouri etc however they sent that about 2 1/2 months ago. Just dont think it should take this long!!

Thank you for your help!

I recently moved from CA to CO and am licensed in CA. You should call and talk to an actual person, tell them you sent in your paperwork, make sure you put in everything, and then keep a heads-up. Plus they may be backlogged with new graduates and issuing new licences, etc. Then keep in contact with the person you spoke with. Also try sending an email and go to the site to check your status.
