Part of the nursing program requirements is that we get a fingerprint clearance card. So, I'm supposed to start nursing school on Aug. 17, but I have to have ALL my paperwork in by Aug. 10. I mailed my paperwork May 8, and I'm getting so nervous it got lost or I won't get it back on time. I know it says up to 8 weeks, but if it's lost and I have to resubmit, then I definately wont get it back in time. The worst part: if I don't turn everything in by the deadline, I am automatically dropped from the program. Anyone have any words of encouragement for me? Thanks.

I hate that whole fingerprinting process. It's pretty nerve-wracking to send your prints off in the mail and just wonder where they are. Best of luck to you.

I understand completely!! I had to be fingerprinted before I could take my NCLEX! AFTER all that time in nursing school!! Fortunately, the state of IL was fast-fast-fast! We didn't mail a card, we had to go to a specific DMV where the State Police fingerprinted us using a computer scanner. I got my official letter to test about a week later. So hang in there!!:balloons:
