I just got my acceptance for the Spring 08 MSN program!! I have been watching my mail like a hawk for over two months lol. I will be starting full time on the nurse ed track. Anyone else starting in the spring?

Cardiac-RN, PCCN

Congrats! I"m hoping to start in the spring but am still waiting. I heard from the graduate coordinator at one school that the process is taking longer this year than normal (figures!) My other school should be sending out notifications in early December. I am applying for a CNM/WHNP program. So until I hear, the mailman's visit becomes the highlight of my day!!

Specializes in Plastic Surgery, ER.

What schools were you guys accepted to? I was accepted to University of South AL FNP program for spring. But after much thought, I have decided to wait until summer to start. That curriculum is over 8 semesters versus 6 which I think will be more "do-able" with my busy schedule and the necessity to work FT as long as possible. I'm a little bummed about having to wait 6 more months but I think it is the best route.

Congratulations!

My poor mailman! I was always meeting him at the door looking so expectant lol, he probably thinks I'm nuts.

My program sent out their acceptances late this year too, they spent a long time deliberating bc they had so many apps. It's an on campus program, I wasn't brave enough to try the online type bc I can be such a procrastinator.

Hi! I just wanted to write and say that I got my acceptance letter today (via email!) I am going to accept, so I will be starting at Ohio State (CNM/WHNP) in the spring! A few of the classes are mostly distance, so that will be good. Yeah!

Specializes in Dialysis, Home Care, Hospice.

Awesome!!! Congratulations!!!

Congrats CNM2B!!

I was just talking to a girl the other day in the FNP program there who totally loves Ohio State. Their WHNP program sounds awesome.

I am contemplating OSU as an option for my doctorate when the MSN is over but that involves relocating... : )

I definitely recommend OSU. This will be my 3rd degree from there and my husband has 2 degrees from there. We still live in Columbus because we love it here (I worked at the medical center and my husband teaches at OSU). If you have any questions about Columbus or Ohio State, feel free to ask! Go Bucks! Beat the Wolverines!

Wow, Congratulations!:balloons:

Specializes in critical care.

Congrats:)

I am still waiting. We were told late Oct to early Nov and still nothing. The advisor told me on the 5th they would be mailing letters that week. Still nothing. Very frustrating.

I am also thinking of applying for FNP, the Spring semester 09. Just wondering, is it still 8 semesters for full time? If so, is it because of classes in the fall is only offered once a year? Can you also tell me how their selection process/ interview was.
