I'm already in trouble

Has anyone been disciplined by the ohio nx board before? They put me on probation. With CE requirements and a few other things. I'm soooo freaked out about this especially since the board monitor want me to come in. Has any one ever did this? What can I expect to happen during our 1st meeting? TIA

Welcome to AN!

I moved your post to get the best answer...there are many nurses here who have been involved with the BON.

My suggestion. If you have malpractice insurance call them they have license protection services. If not I would consult with an attorney that has experience in licensing issues. The BON is not your friend.

If you have your own private malpractice insurance, now would be the time to call them for their advice. And I know that other wise-ones responding here on AN would say to go to Board meetings with your own legal representation accompanying you. The Board is NOT your friend.

Also know that per Terms of Service, members here on AN are not permitted to seek out medical or LEGAL advice. Don't know how much info you're seeking but this is not the place to get detailed info like you may want.

Good luck.

Maybe you could elaborate a little more? You stated you were in trouble, are you already under a monitoring agreement? Or is this the first meeting to determine your monitoring agreement? I'm a little confused
