If you fail the NCLEX...

I am a long way off from taking the NCLEX (grad ADN May 2007) but I've been lurking in this forum for a little while. I've seen some people mention they've taken the NCLEX more than once. I am wondering how long you have to wait before retaking it? TIA :)

Depends on your state. Some 90 days, some 45.

87 percent pass the first time.

Pay attention in class, don't worry about remembering all the details but do get the idea of "nursing process" down pat.

And learn how to stay calm. I suspect most who fail do so because their anxiety gets the best of them.

Good luck in school!

THanks Chris :) I am doing pretty well right now, though I'm not in my core classes yet. I agree with you - test anxiety is a big issue for a lot of people.
