Hi everyone!

I just received my IELTS score..... 7.5 reading, 7 speaking, 7 listening but 6.5 writing.

So I'm very sad, I know that I have to do it again ...

Does anyone know if I can do just the writing part?

Can I start some papers with the nursing board, the immigration or the anmc? or do I have to wait for my new result?

After my IELTS result send, how long can I expect to be granted for my visa and nursing board?

Thank you!

hi pinkflower! :typing i would have wanted to congratulate you - very good scores in the 3 areas. but i know it pains you to fall short in one part... if you'll re-sit for the ielts, you can't take just one area though. and secondly, aus requires ielts results in one sitting.

if i may ask, which nursing board are you applying for registration? if you want to start processing even with your new ielts scores to follow, you may want to take at look at NMBWA. but do weigh the costs of the assessment and their bridging program, if WA is not the board that you originally planned to apply to. as for QLD, they'll need your 7777 ielts first so this may not be an immediate option - unless you take the ielts again asap.

as to the processing time - i am guessing it won't be too long IF some/most processing has already been done, as in WA. but if the ielts is necessary before processing can be started, as in QLD, then your wait has just begun. pls note we're talking about the board eligibility here for you to take the BP/CAS, no visa issues yet.

don't lose hope - you've made it as far as a 7.5... just gather more courage and exude more confidence in battling the writing part.

hope this helps! :clown: and do hit me some TY's if it has...

Hi Torque15!

Thank you for your answer....yes i was thinking of applying in QLD! I know that as of July 1st I needed 7777 in my IELTS score but i will for sure look at NMBWA! I will take the test sept 5th. As of now...study, study.... :)

Are you from WA? Where? How is the life, the work, is there a huge nurses shortage? I'm an ER nurse with my ACLS.... Do you have NP?

What's TY's?

Thanks again! :)
