Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

One of out clinicals instructors said when students failed capstone and was removed from the program, some did take it because they had the required class but it is only a 30 Unit Option License and that license is tagged as 30 Unit Option so the RN is stuck only as that. They can not progress in their nursing career education wise which most facilities are moving to require a BSN or already require it. The 30 unit option RN will be stuck in low pay jobs such as nursing homes or home health.

To me, its not worth it. I plan to just get my compacted license since I am graduating in Florida as well as endorse my license to my state California and work here.

How many tries can we do the exit exam? Also, does anybody know if this exam is HESI style and what is the passing score?

Reviews make the program seem so horrible (to be fair I see negative reviews on every school). It makes the decision to attend very hard although I want it so badly. I really appreciate yours and others feedback. Thanks

So as of March 30th the NCLEX is Next Gen.
We just had our second midterm for medsurg and it had a lot of Next Gen questions. I think since testing is changing on a National level, it will probably be Next Gen Like. Since nobody has finished capstone since this new implementation, it's hard to tell.

You get 2 tries. 78% to pass which is a HESI 900 score or higher. They are using the Next Generation NCLEX style.

You have a 2nd Midterm? We have 1 midterm and 2 Finals. A HESI Final and a Professor created Comprehensive Final.

My friend in Med Surg has the same.

We were told

Test 1 is Midterm

Test 2 Final HESI

Test 3 Comprehensive Final

Yes we had one midterm in March, we just had Midterm 2 May 3rd and 5th (psych and Medsurg) and our final is next week.
they split up testing, not like how it was in Pharmacology.

No like that in Pharm now. I have friends in Med Surg and Psych. I would have been if not for this darn Pharm by 3%. The testing now is Test 1, Test 2 and Test 3. HESI is a final. All the classes this semester is now that way. Makes it better to pass now. I am glad they did it.

what are their class schedules like? I work 2-10pm do you think I would be able to survive at this school?

Classes on MS Teams are normally in the day morning time on 11am or evening 5 or 6pm EST. You will 2 to 3 classes a week.

There are alot of Assignments are giving for each week starting midnight Monday and due by Sunday 11:59pm EST.

They will give you that specifics class schedule on the first day of class.

Good Luck working Full time. It's alot of work. Try the first semester and see how you feel. You can drop down to one class by the drop deadline if its too much.

Hi Nea, I am currently taking Psych & Med Surg 1. I hope you did well on your exam ? I found it kinda hard honestly. Do you happen to know what happens if we don't pass one class but pass the other?

Hi!

If you don't pass one class you can't proceed to medsurg 2 I believe. I don't know if they will let you take OB/peds without taking Medsurg 1 so you might be taking just one class next semester. I'm in the same boat waiting for the instructors to watch the tapes to get the final verdict. I pass the exam, but I accidentally zoomed out of my screen while being proctored. I'm hoping that won't hold me back as well.
take care
