We have other students that are in different pre reqs. Haven't heard anything bad so far from those who had prereqs or the LVNs who started their nursing core. Only heard its alot of work and you must constantly study which is why many are saying a full time job will be hard to hold but some get lucky and get through it.

How much is one prerequisite? Your plan sounds pretty solid. I am also from Cali. Were your coworkers able to endorse their nursing license?

Cost for the course is roughly $1150  which is $265 per credit plus Resource fees. When you enroll and go through the process, they do a Financial Workbook explaining all the costs pertaining to your program including any prereqs you have to take

I believe he is preparing for NCLEX since he just graduated. He will be endorsing his license because he works here in California.

I am from California. They pretty much say the same things as everyone else unorganized and change policies,however, they say it’s not easy but doable if you can push through.

I just finished med surg I and psych. Rules do change constantly and 4 days before finals we found out from 1 instructor we would be taking the HESI exam. so a week of studying material we did over 13 weeks and then to find out we are not taking a test that was based off the material we reviewed was stressful. I passed and will be moving forward to med surg II and OB/Peds. All I can stress is study everything, know your books front to back. Do the practice questions daily. Im not sure how people work FT and do this program. I give them tons of credit. The school really isn't that bad. The constant changes I assumed are from covid and then the "rumors" of multiple people cheating through school then failing boards. I cant blame the school for changing the way they allow tests to be done. The part that is challenging is no study material is ever given for any tests. They also do not even allow you to ask how many questions are on the tests. In one of the classes the professor threatened to report a student for breaking test policy by asking how many questions. When you start, Im sure you will sign like a 8 page test taking policy. Please do not talk about the tests! You can be kicked out! when students go in break out groups some would talk about the tests. I did not trust or talk about anything. I kept silent. Those sessions are recorded and professors will appear in your group unannounced and be listening. Just study, take your tests and reach out to your professor if you need help.

But your semester is limited in the number of weeks So you have 5 tests and 10% graded homework. in a 15 week semester,,,,,

It’s a shame others ruined it for everyone else that wants to do the work and pass. It is already hard enough to get into a bridge program in CA.

I agree. Seems things really started changing after the classes that went through covid graduated. I have a coworker who went through one of these classes and she said over half her class failed the exit exam. The school knew then that many cheated. I just wish the homework was worth more. It's many hours of work for a very small amount towards your grade. We had some that only did the clinical homework and never did the theory work.

  That's crazy.  How can they cheat on test if they are proctored? Some will always find ways to get through and come out not knowing a thing about patient care.

Did they still pass only doing clinical homework?

Hopefully the school will structure material better to at least help in the students studies and not leave them in the dark as far as what needs to be learned and studied in order to be able to takenthe exams with confidence.

Only the final was proctored from what we were told. All the other tests were not. Now ALL tests are proctored. Clinical work must be completed or you will fail clinical. For the theory its such a small portion of your grade that many did not care and did not do assignments. I would not gamble that. I did every assignment for everything and I studied, did practice questions.

Yeah I plan to do the same. I am using my VA GI Bill so hopefully being a full time student I get full housing allowance then I can drop my hours drastically.  I only work per diem but still. The amount I get for housing is equal to what I get from work.

I can study, study and study.

I did find out that the test bank I saw is actually the one in the textbook. I am ordering a hardcopy of the textbook and it comes with the 1000 question testbank inside.  So I am waiting for the textbook.

The textbook comes with alot of different features to study and learn.  Hopefully not too overwhelming.  Pharmacology will be the hardest for me. So many meds to learn. I have  medication cards my sister bought during her pharm class and gave me.
