I have 4 W's on my record

I'm applying to VCU and NOVA nursing programs in January. Currently, I have 3.75 GPA and 4 W's on my record. I'm really worried those W's will screw me over. Unfortunately, there is no chance in explaining my withdrawals since NOVA has no essay portion, and VCU only wants you to include specific details in the essay. I'm wondering if any of you are in the nursing school and got admitted with W's. Thanks

Don't worry about the W's. You have a good GPA. I had a bunch of Ws and got into Johns Hopkins. Good luck.

I've been told W's aren't too important as long as you did well when you actually took the course. With your GPA I see no reason why they would even look at those in your transcripts.

It depends what classes the Ws are in. If they are in the sciences then you might have a problem, but if they were psychology or something similar then it's probably fine. I had like 5 W's on my transcript. They were for classes that I didn't need so I stopped showing up and realized that I needed to drop before I received a failure mark lol.

Lol, I have three W's thus far. Things happen, and I wouldn't beat myself up.

I wouldn't think withdrawals would hurt your transcript, not with a 4.75 GPA. That's pretty good!

Best of luck!
