My niche that is:) I just started working in psych 2 weeks ago, but I really really like it. I know it's still new and all, but I enjoy learning. I enjoy being at work. I have felt "comfortable" since day 1. I have a lot to learn, as this is a totally different world than my medical experience. But I think it's where I am meant to be. I thought it in nursing school way back when I did my psych rotation. My instuctor back then told me I should specialize in psych. But I wanted some medical experience first, and just got on that track. It's so nice to not dread going to work, not miserably count down the seconds until I can go home. It's just nice to enjoy my job for once!!

Me too!! Just left the hospital for psych home care and LOVE it!!!! It is wonderful to look forward to going to work instead of dreading it. Found my niche just in time, I was thinking about leaving nursing completely.
Good luck in your new position.

Welcome! We're so glad you're here in our world. We love what we do too (well most of us). I hope you have a co-workers who will make you feel welcomed and are ready to share their knowledge of this fascinating part of medicine. Good luck!
