I test on Monday the 7th

I test on June 7th, and I'm really quite worried. I wasn't worried when I first graduated on May 12th, but now that it is at hand, I feel the weight of it. All that I have gone through comes down to this test. I was so arrogant before I started Level 1. Now, I'm just scared. I practice questions, a couple hundred a day. I've started getting up into the 80%s but that's not the NCLEX test, that's just practice tests. Most of the time I'm around 75%. I did well in school. A 3.5 average in a very tough (known for being tough) ADN program.

There are so many drugs; there are so many medical conditions. I won't know the results until at least Friday. I'm scared; I truly am. God help me.

Acosmic: I wish you the best on Monday. Only a few days to go. I myself graduated from an ADN program in January of 2004. Took the NCLEX-RN and passed it. My GPA wasn't as good as your but I made it. Trust me you've learned a lot. It probably doesn't feel like that but you did! When I took NCLEX in May I changed my test date 3 times. Can you believe that? My nerves were killing me!!!! I took the exam knowing that I was going to do great. Always have a positive thought. The computer shut off at 75. I came out of that exam with confidence. Those 3 waiting days were nerve wreaking but once I found out I passed I thanked the Lord!!!!!!!! Believe in God and you will get far in life.

Take it easy these couple of days. Don't over do it with studying. Go out and relax. You must be thinking what the heck is this guy saying...... ME RELAX??????? :rotfl: I've been in your shoes...........

I feel the exact same way AscosmicRN, I'm taking my test on June 10th. I've held off the nerves up until this weekend and am now getting the jitters. I just don't feel like I have my life back yet until this test is over and then that stupid tape of 'what if I fail' hit's me, arghhh. Okay, okay, I know. Breath deep, expand the diaphram and blow out though pursed lips, RELAX. Ahhh, that's better.

I did Kaplan class and passed both the diagnostic and readiness exam (only 5 people out of 50 did pass), but like you said, those are practice exams. I also did really well in school, got all A's and B's and never came close to failing an exam and my program was also known to be difficult. All that said, I am still scard!!!!!

Hey Rachel. You and I are in the same neck of the woods. I'm taking my test in Mobile. Good luck to you on Monday, and to me. Just think, if we pass this thing, it's all over. No matter what other schooling you do, it will never have this pressure, because you will already be an RN, a "professional." The whole world knows what an RN is and they look at them with respect. I'm not a status-seeker, but I come from a humble (cough-whitetrash-cough) background, and to be a professional in the greatest profession in the world is like winning a lottery for me.

Good luck to you too. I am taking mine in Macon. I just want it to be over, I would be able to handle another three months of studying! I'll pray for both of us. By the way, have you heard of the type of drug questions they are asking. I know everyone's test is different, but I was just wondering.
