I resigned from my full time RN Case Management position yesterday. I accepted a job at a ALF that is 10min from my home as a Assistant Director of Resident Services. It is a mon-fri no weekends no holidays. I gave 3 week notice. I know the home health company wanted 4 weeks so I compromised and gave 3 weeks. I did offer to say on per diem.
It will be less money but no car expenses and no 7 day work weeks. As many know I have been seeing some pts every weekend to help the oncall nurse. I am on this weekend I will see if any of the other 8 nurses that I work with will actually help me. Not holding my breath.

Sounds like a good decision. Just get through this weekend since you are on call/scheduled. NO MORE WEEKENDS. Regardless of whether or not you get assistance this weekend you know what is has been like.
I loved LAF. I hope you do also.

first of all, congratulations on your new job. having said that, a wise person once said and i quote " it’s not important to hold all the good cards in life, but it’s important how well you play with the cards which you hold" wishing you the very best in all of your future endeavors...aloha~
