I Passed!!!!!

Everybody, I passed!!!! I took it just yesterday, but I just checked to see if I could see the result on the website by the board of nursing (Minnesota). It says that "examination status----Passed"!!!!!!!!!

I thank you for all the encouragements and advice for studying strategies!!!

I had 190-200Q's, and this was my second time. I was very cautious to choose right answer for each questions. After I passed the 75 questions, I told myself that "Ok, I am still not failed. I will go for 265 questions". This really worked psychologically. I took two breaks without hesitation, and went outside, had nice deep breathing, and ate chocolate bars. I knew I could finish 265 questions within 6 hours so that I did not rush myself to the next question.

Questions included very weired types such as herb OTC drugs related to menopause, heart disease, and sleep disturbance. I honestly did not study around this area!! I also had a couple of legal issues such as informed consent (it was tough...I cannot really remember the detail though). Lots of psych & therapeutic communication...which I also did not really pay attention to study.... I was so ready for med/surg which is my strongest area...but I did not have any questions from acid-base, cardiovascular, or you know you tend to study the most around those area!! I had a couple of all select answers, and one drug calculation which was very easy one. A couple of priotization questions were not so easy. It was interdisaster situations, too. So, I had to pick one patient who could be discharged.

I cannot wait till moving to the states! Thank you everybody who prayed for me and encouraged all the way to today! Good luck to you :roll

I registered in the minnesota nursing board. They have a website, and I registered as an applicant. I did not know I could check the result so quick! So, probably, it depends on the state you register. I was going to pay for 7$ tomorrow morning, so this is great! I know Minnesota send you the result by mail within a week. I wish your good result! Try to have a good sleep....
