I passed!

Published

I've been lurking here quite a while during my CNA course and finally it's all over. I took the exam once and failed the skills portion...on handwashing, mind you. In fact, all but three people in my class failed handwashing. I retook the exam yesterday, I was finally able to pull up my report this afternoon:

You have passed your skill exam.

Your skill exam on Sep 30, 2008 was comprised of the following tasks, and you must pass all five to pass the exam.

PASSED: Handwashing

PASSED: Denture Care

PASSED: Weighing an Ambulatory Resident

PASSED: Dressing Resident

PASSED: Blood Pressure

Woohoo!

Congrats! What state are you in? I live in FL and I "graduate" my CNA class tomorrow, but I am not scheduled for the exam until Oct. 27th! Needless to say, I was not impressed with my test date. I did luck out though, I trained for the exam in a nursing home, so from Tuesday until my test date I will work as a "Hospitality Aide" and I will be put on the floor as a CNA, when (not if, I cannot say if..) I pass my exam. If I fail, then I have no longer have a guaranteed job. I only plan on working as a CNA until I can get into RN school...
