Featured Replies

Did you try the web based employment sites such as monster and yahoo hot jobs?

If you do a net search on nursing jobs you will get alot of sites. Now weeding through them is a pain.

Are you willing to relocate?

As a new grad I posted my resume on a few of the big job boards : monster, Flipdog. I immediatly got innundated with calls from recruiters from every corner of the earth! Try that and let recruiters do some leg work for you. Good luck!

we have lots of RN jobs posted at my hospital, but its not that close to columbia...

MU usually has openings !

good luck

MU is a wonderful hospital to work at. (pardon the grammer) I moved there from St. Louis in 1982 after my son was born because they offered an excellerated pay program where you could work weekends only, 12 hour shifts and get paid at time and 1/2. No benefits, but my husband had those thru his job. Another wonderful thing was that on the alternate weekends my husband worked and I did too, we were able to use the onsite daycare center for my son. He really loved going to "school" while I was at work. During the week, I was there for him. We even had a nurse that came down on weekends from Iowa just for this schedule. She shared an apartment on weekends with another nurse. Now THAT's commuting!!
