I have no idea how to study

Hello my fellow nurses(or nurses to be)!

So, I am in health and wellness, and it is the first class that is like the nursing style test questions. I am so use to studying via flashcards. Now, I just feel like a lost puppy. I have been going over a lot of threads on how to study and have noticed that a lot of people are saying to practice NCLEX questions, however, no material from this class will be on the nclex, I can use those tips next semester in fundamentals, but for now I need a different study tactic. I have no idea how to study or even where to start. Can you give me step by step how you study.

I would really appreciate it. I failed my fist exam and I am freaking out.

thanks y'all!

Rachel

lorirn2b The curriculum and test style questions from the country I am a nurse from is completely different then the ones in america/ which is why of course none of my credits would transfer from my country to here, meaning I have to go through nursing school all over again.

Does that make sense?

Hi Rachel and dear fellow nurses!!

I completely understand your problem. Studying had been a huge struggle for me at the beginning, finding the right methods and such. I stumbled across a very effective study tool online called efaqt. It's online, and the basic account is incredibly useful and doesn't cost anything! I created a free account and started summarising my books and lectures on this account. Also, i was able to make flashcards and reheorifice everything I had studied. It just really helped me structure all the content of my books, and helped me to approach it in a different way than I used to (the tool supports you with encouraging tips as well). Also, you can open your summaries anywhere you have internet and a laptop. Recently, I started using the Pro-account that includes features like mind maps. Costs a few bucks a month, but I'm pleased I did the upgrade. Since I use efaqt, I pass all my exams and I'm so much more relaxed! :):):)

Really, I could recommend it to everybody! you could try it on Study smarter. Remember it all · eFaqt

Hopefully it works for you too.. :) Best of luck to all of you!!
