just reading your post. wow they only take 20 students? why such a low amount? but anyway congratulations!!!
Than you everyone...the 20 student thing i swear i dont know whats up with that. But they take 20 students and 5 as a back up. Then they take another 20 students in May. (They have 2 start dates Jan and May.) and another 5 backup. Then both of the classes combine into one class. So 20 students per semester opening and another 10 as backups. I was happily surprised to find out this awsome news. I am still taking a few pre-reqs that are req'd before enrance but after this semester ill be DONE! WOOHOO!
Right now taking Micro, developmental psych, Sociology 2, and computer info sciences. took the rest all this past year. i cant wait to be finished taking pre-reqs and start the actual program! im still shocked and over the moon..thank you all..

how did it go for you. Im applying too. for spring 2010
Hey Raquel,
I just finished the semester with 2 B's and an A. im very happy with it too tho i almost got an A in Nursing100 but pulled a B+. the semester was awesome, i met some seriously wonderful people and the teachers are fantastic. I am so excited to come back in september, i have a huge break because i do not have to take any other classes (some of the students in my class have to still take another sociology class and an anthropology class) i finished them already so if you begin in the january class, and you finished all of your core reqs, you get a huge 4 month break. if you begin in the May class (They take 2 classes a year..one in January and one in May) then you go straight through until september, (you'll get 3 weeks off iin aug for vaca). The jan and may class then combine to form one full class. its pretty awesome. I will begin clinicals this semester (sept) since they are closing the actual hospital, (the school is staying open) we now will do most of our clinicals at Temple hospital, though we also go to deer meadows (nursing home), Jeanes hospital, and St. Christophers. Im totally psyched!!
Good luck on getting in, its a great school, hard but great! let me know if i can help any..
Take care!
thanks for the encouragement. Im o happy for you. It is so hard getting into schools. I applied to several schools and its either a waiting list or just did'nt get in. I meet with Pat Fleetwood Next week. How soon after did you get an acceptance letter after applying? If I may ask what did you score on the net exam? Did they base your acceptance on net score of gpa?

Hello Everyone,
I start Northeastern in January I am so excited! Is there anyone else out there that will starting then?

hey Raquel, i got a 76 on the NET exam..they do NOT base acceptance on the net scores, they base it on the total number of points you incur. But the net score is weighted. i think a 65 and above you get 10 pts, and 70 and above 15 pts.. I had 88 points coming into the Jan class. Every pre-req that you take (9 of them) each grade that you get in them classes is weighted. if you get an A in lets say bio 109,110 and micro each of your A's are worth (if im not mistaken 4 points) your essay (entrance essay) is worth 10 pts, B's are 3 points and C's are 2 points..now i may be wrong about the weight, but they was to see it over 66. so combine all of your grades and see where u fit in. When i was accepted, i had 88 points. if you have any questions ask, hopefully i can answer them. its a wonderful school and i cannot wait to get back in september but be prepared to STUDY!!
Jill! congrats! you will love it! i may or may not see you, as we didnt really see alot of the juniors during our semester but im sure well pass eachother by, my name is Rachel, and i dont know if there is another Rachel lol,,so good luck and ill see you there hopefully!!
