I have the flu.

I have to go in to see the Dr. tomorrow. I have not even been sick with a cold in about 7 years. We will see.

I'm sorry to hear that!! I hope you feel better soon.

Oh, my. Hope you are OK. As long as you are not under 6 or over 66, you will probably do fine.

So did the doc confirm the flu??

it's going to the state dept of health for swine verification. she put me on tamiflu and azithromycin. i do feel a little better but at last check my temp was 103. i'm thinking it's going to come back positive for swine. it's just very odd that this bug is floating around and i get sick in the off season. like i mentioned before i have not had the flu since 1999 now that i think about it.

on a funny note… i don’t know what type on precautions your hospital is taking but at my docs office they came out to the car with two n95’s and escorted us right into an exam room. i’m going to start wearing masks everywhere…people really get out of your way.

What state do you live in, and have you been to Mexico?

I live in Ohio and no I have not been to Mexico.

Yow...103 is a high temp. Rest up and hope you're feeling better soon!

Interesting that your doctor saw you. I have no doubt mine would have turfed it directly to the ER.

I live in Ohio and no I have not been to Mexico.

Would you mind giving us the general area of Ohio?

Hope you have a speedy recovery!

West side of Cleveland.

Yowie, you're cookin' with 103. I agree, my doc would have slammed me in the hospital (mainly to keep my nurse manager from pitching a fit for me to come to work....)

that's really high!! i'll keep you in my prayers (if that's okay) for a speedy recovery.

So here is an update… The fever broke yesterday. I feel about 500% better. I talk to the Dr’s office today and I did test pos. for Influenza A. They also told me that the Dept. of health will be contacting me in regards to the H1N1. I asked, “What does the mean exactly?” She said, “I don’t know.”
