I failed out of the BSN program with one semester left.

I failed out of the BSN program at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with 1 semester left till graduation. Does anyone know of any programs or options out there that don't require you to start over? I am 38 years old with 2 busy teenagers and and a wealth of student loan debt and I can't start over at this point. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I am confused about the Kaplan post as well. Makes no sense what-so-ever!

I don't know where the confusion lies, because I responded to the question that I quoted.

I stated they were for profit, as a buyer beware FYI.

Deleted.

pixiestudent2, please accept my apology. I got hung up on the "for" word when I expected a "to" word. As in Kaplan will do something bad to this nurse. You are so right.

For profit schools especially today have a history of absolutely raping young would-be nurses. The worst offenders are Education Management Schools such as South University and the University of Phoenix. Both of which are in dire financial straights but they continiue to enroll students. What a crime but I also know that Kaplan is a loser too. Since you are informed probably having been victimized by Kaplan try to spead the word about these schools as the entire industry is slowly but surely melting down. Again, please accept my appology. I guess I just didn't understand your point of view.

I never went to Kaplan, but I called them and inquired if they'd accept nursing credits from an RN program. I was desperate because I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish at my school.

It ended up working out for me and I graduated from a respectable school.

But I'm saying that attending Kaplan, can result in getting your LPN, without taking to many additional classes.

It would probably be expensive... But it's still an option for someone in her situation to become a nurse.

No apologies needed.
