You cannot work as a licensed/registered nurse in a state without receiving an active license in that state or holding an active license w/appropriate residency in a compact state (if applicable). And you cannot generally get a new license in another state by endorsement/reciprocity, if your current/previous license is revoked or suspended.

I hold licenses currently in 8 states. ALL of them require verification of your previous license(s), as well as ask you on the aps whether you have ever had any action taken on any license that you have held. Most also tell you that if any licensure action has been taken against you as a nurse or you are charged with a criminal act, you must report it to the BON.

As such, no, you really can't work as a licensed/registered nurse in most reputable facilities, if your license is revoked/suspended. And if you hold another licensure, that you notify them of the action - via reciprocity/compact regulation, you probably cannot work as you are no longer "licensed".

Plus virtually all facilities will ask about licensure, criminal history and actions against your license, and do background checks. This would pretty much impair employment chances.

thank you , Ok how about this you have to lincenses ky and va , was working in ky , was persuing employment in va and was suspended then a few weeks later fired for alleged falcification of medical records , agency had already checked my current va license , my question is can i accept a job in va while waiting to see what ky will do . their is also other issues with ky and have sought legal counsel. please reply thank you for help.

I understand that by your post that you have legal counsel on the case already pending. I strongly suggest you ask your attorney or consult another one on this.
