I am currently an MA looking to get my RN and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. I work 8am-5pm Mon-Fri and have 2 lite boys. I'm just curious if there really are any hybrid RN programs? Specifically in my area. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Could you elaborate as to what you mean by hybrid program?
And in order to respond with programs in your area, it would be helpful to know what area that is.
Sorry, roser13. When it asked for my location, I thought it would show that. Haha.
By hybrid I mean clinicals done at a local hospital and classwork done online. Also, I'm from Uniontown, PA. South of PGH and north of Morgantown, WV. Thanks again!

I don't think there is such a thing for your initial RN, unless you have other healthcare experience, then you could do excelsior (sp).
You could try contacting the board of nursing in MA and ask if they know of any programs. I am doing an online RN-BSN program at a university in NH, but again I think the initial schooling for RN is usually in the classroom.

There are hybrid prelicensure nursing programs that blend online didactic (theory) coursework with weekly hands-on clinical practicum. A few of these programs thrive in the area where I live, but I know nothing about PA.
