losing a narcotic is very serious and if that facility does not take it so then to me that is a red flag that they have a problem! I would not want to be anywhere near that place.

Consider the part time job. Sounds like agency work is not working for you. Maybe you can go back to it after more experience.

If the facility does not DNR you to the agency for this mistake, don't go out of your way to bring it up to the agency yourself. When you have the part time position finalized, write a polite letter of resignation to the agency, citing some inocuous reason, like "decided to pursue opportunity with" and attempt to leave the agency on good terms. Glad to see you realize how difficult agency work is and that you see the wisdom in seeking the stability of a regular position. Good luck.
Im definately considering the part time job. I need a home base to gain experience. its on subacute and they have a great orientation policy. the idea about the resignation letter is great. Thats exactly what im going to do. Thank you.

What country are you from? What does dawged mean ?
Your post is really confusing, just one massive sentence with words and
swearin in it
So did you get fired for stealing narcotics then from your agency ?
first of all this is not a grammar class. i was pretty upset while i wrote my post. if you did not like it you didnt have to be so rude and chew my head off about it. second i did NOT steal anything. it was a mistake due to my hectic day. I am very offended that you would assume that. You dont know me, if you did.. you would never say that.

Sometimes the pills pop out the back of the blister pack, and get lost. Maybe the count was off at the beginning of the shift. It happens. Don't let anyone tell you they have never made a mistake. NOW, I always check the count of the narc sheet against the count of the card, everytime I pop one out. Why? because I've been there.
