i say the student in first year when he go to the clinical area to training the first train , and see ppl covered wih blood like what i see it how u feel or how he feel ?

Maybe you could try asking medics or flight nurses. I work on a pedi neurology floor. There is a specialty section of this DB.

I guess maybe in Trauma they see patients covered in blood, but not on our floors.

Sorry, can't help.

Blood makes most people feel sick.

Nurses clean up the blood and help heal the wounds.

There are lots of ugly sights, sounds, and smells in this world. But we are nurses

because we know we can make the world a little better with each patient we

help.

I hope that answered your question.

I guess I'm still left wondering what exactly you're asking??

Are you traumatized from seeing patients injured in war and covered with blood?

But now i can do ambiotation without traumatized :nono:

Nursing Eyes,

You saw these things on your first day? I can't imagine. You are still a student?

Most western nurses do not have to see these things, emergency room nurses and paramedics would be the closest to it. My brother is a paramedic and I know that after he experiences horrible bloody accidents he uses humor to deal with it. He laughs and makes jokes that can be quite shocking to people who don't understand what he has seen. I think this is the only way he can keep from being sad.

But most of us, at least in the US and most of Europe have not had to deal with war-like situations.

God's blessings to you and your co-workers.
