Was looking for advice on how to study medications. I am thinking about using the Kaplan RN course book, but need suggestions and advice on how to go about studying them.

each time i came across a medication that i didnt know i would write it down, along with the use for it and the side effects, davis was good for this. once upon a time barnes and noble allowed you to preview the davis ebook for 7 days. that was great i completed the section on medications and it was very helpful. but u come across different medications when ever u answer questions.

I pay attention to questions on medications and note the ones I am unfamiliar with. Saunders 5th ed has an audio review for pharmacological strategies and it is very helpful. I believe the more medication questions you answer, the better you get equipped since it is impossible to know all about every medication. Good Luck

Make a med card for the meds you come across, but start out with one prototype drug for each classification as you go through your pharm book from school.
